Tuna Kimbap
This Korean delicacy features seaweed, rice, tuna, vegetables, and sesame oil as crucial components. Perfect as a portable and delicious snack option that can be eaten with or without sauce for a leisurely bite!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cooked short-grain rice
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- Salt, to taste
- 5 sheets of nori (seaweed)
- 1 can of tuna (drained)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 cucumber, sliced into long strips
- 1 carrot, julienned
- Pickled radish strips
- Spinach, blanched
Instructions:
- Mix the cooked rice with sesame oil, rice vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Let it cool.
- Mix tuna with mayonnaise.
- Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread an even layer of rice on the nori.
- Place the tuna mix, cucumber, carrot, radish, and spinach on the rice.
- Roll the bamboo mat forward, pressing the ingredients inside the cylinder-shaped sushi. Slice into bite-size pieces.
Bastilla Recipe
Bastilla is a traditional Moroccan dish composed of phyllo pastry, chicken, eggs, almonds, and spices rolled up and sealed to create a sweet-and-savory pie that can be served hot or cold. Here is the delicious Bastilla Recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of phyllo dough
- 2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp of almond paste
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp sugar
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Butter, melted
Instructions:
- Sauté onion in butter until translucent. Add chicken, almond paste, eggs, and spices. Cook until well mixed.
- Place a phyllo sheet in a pie dish, brush with butter, and repeat with three more sheets.
- Add the chicken mixture.
- Cover with two more buttered phyllo sheets.
- Tuck the edges and bake at 350°F until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon before serving.
Casamiento
Casamiento is a Salvadoran dish composed of rice, beans, onion, garlic, and cilantro that makes for an easy and filling meal that goes well with tortillas, cheese, sour cream, or salsa for additional enjoyment.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of cooked rice
- 1 cup of black beans, cooked
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic in oil.
- Add beans and rice. Stir until well combined and heated through. Season as needed.
Torta de Chorizo
This classic Mexican dish includes bread, chorizo, cheese, avocado, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise in one delicious and filling sandwich that can be grilled or toasted for maximum enjoyment!
Ingredients:
- 200g chorizo, sliced
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add chorizo slices and cook until slightly crispy.
- Mix eggs, bread crumbs, milk, parsley, and chorizo mixture in a bowl.
- Pour into a baking dish and bake at 350°F until set and golden.
Pasta di Primavera
This classic Italian springtime pasta dish can be customized according to your favorite vegetables, olive oil, garlic, and cheese flavors – for an eye-catching display with vibrant hues! Enjoy this light yet colorful dish made with pasta, vegetables, olive oil, garlic cloves, and cheese – or choose your preferred pasta shape and customize it according to personal taste!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of pasta
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Cook pasta as per package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add vegetables and cook until slightly tender.
- Add cream and Parmesan. Mix until well combined.
- Toss in the pasta, season, and serve.
