Did Eric train at all this week?
“no he did not.
Yesterday, QB Jimmy Garoppolo was speaking, he said he felt more freedom on the court on Sundays he had felt since 2017, he said freedom is important. It makes him feel confident. I asked him do you expect him the rest of the season? He says this is a good question for you. So I ask, what does that mean? Do you know what that means? And is that something he has earned more at this point in his career?
“You have to ask him what he meant by that. It didn’t make a difference in that game more than every match so you can ask him about it. Maybe it was just going in when someone else’s game plan and he’s just coming in to stop him and deal with it. That’s what I think, but That seems to be a question for him.”I said he looked the same when he was in the game. This practice, did he sound the same? Looks like he might have been throwing the ball well. Have you noticed that at least in practice?
“I’ve never seen Jimmy throw the ball. I think Jimmy is one of the best bowlers on the planet, so that was one of his first traits. I thought Jimmy was his best year last year. I had surgery at the end of the year and once his arm started to recover, Which was tossed on the side and stuff, it always looked good. Once we caught him with our squad, which is right after the first game before the season, he dumped him with the scouts and stuff, he looked like he always did.”
Did you get to watch some of those breakout sessions or did you have a video of them at all?
“I used to watch it when I was walking outside. All you have to do is see it throw it once and watch how it spins. Watch the zip it came out with, and how it looked when you threw it. And it was always like that way. When you do things like that, you have to take it slowly.” , so you don’t have any setbacks, but I remember when he got here, he was relieved. You don’t want to go in just because you feel like go get your arm tested quickly and end up being back a few months.”
How did Keitel get through the week? Will he have any restrictions on Sunday night?
“He is fine. I thought he was getting better every day.”
What does his debut mean, not just a scrolling game, but what it means in a run-and-bust game?“He means a ton in both. Kittle has been one of our best players here over the years. When he’s there, he’s a huge deal for us and we have to get him back into football form, just because he didn’t play a little bit, but he helps us in every aspect we do.” with it “.
Not that Jimmy’s comments were terribly controversial, but it’s nothing like Garoppolo. He says, “Ah, that’s how I want to play it. And we don’t do that much here. Are you surprised that he’s so frank?”
“No, I really don’t know the quote he said. I’m with Jimmy a lot, so nothing really surprises me. I talk to him every day. I hear your huge explanations for that quote and you guys just say it. I can’t explain it. I explain it by my relationship with him every day, so Go and ask him what he means by her.”
OK. Can you facilitate that?
“No, I wouldn’t waste my time on it, but you can. I have some real things to do.”
I’ve asked you this in previous years, but specifically, do you have a guy in the booth that’s focused on managing the game when you go to him fourth that you go to in those moments?
“Yes, of course.”who is that?
“[Vice President, Football Administration] Brian Hampton”.
Was he here in the past?
“He’s been here for a long time.”
Is he telling you in your ear on the third and tenth, Think ahead to look ahead, that kind of thing?
“It’s a straight computer. It’s very smart. It knows all the numbers, all the percentages and that’s what bothers me with it all the time, so I always get analytics for every situation.”
Does it ring on the fourth and ninth days on Sunday?“Oh, yeah, that was too much for him.”
Do you always go with him or?
“No. I did there.”
DL Nick Bosa revealed to us last week that he has been chosen to give speeches on Saturday. It was kind of in our opinion a funky option, not known to be a big speech moniker. Why did I use him for this role?
“I just pick someone every day and end up in the routine. Last year, I picked him and I think we won, so I picked him again. I think we ended up winning like four in a row and every time he talks, he’s so fun and so wise at the same time. time, so he’s doing a really good job. And I feel like we did it like the last 10 weeks of last year and I started the first week with him in Chicago. I didn’t even think about it until we finished the walkthroughs and I thought who I was going to order and I was like, let’s go with Nick again. He did a great job at the time and we did it last week and there’s probably a real benefit the chance that he’ll do it tomorrow.”
He was proud of his speech in Chicago.
“So that was me. It was great.”What is transparent about it?
“I have no idea. When Nick talks, you guys know, he’s a man of few words, so when he talks to me, he’s very smart. He’s always thought about it, it means something, but he never does. Say too much. That’s It’s the way he plays as well. I think it’s as real as you can be in all these aspects. That’s why I think when he talks people listen, because he’s not just talking.”
Who is the quarterback scout this week?
“[QB] Brock [Purdy]. Yes, our second player plays as a scouting team.”
