Ivy Tech offers opportunities for visits and applications | local news

Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute and Greencastle have upcoming visiting opportunities for those interested in earning a credential or associate degree.

High school students and their families are invited to Go Ivy Day on October 7, to discover Ivy Tech as a path toward an affordable career or start to a bachelor’s degree.

Attendees will tour the campus, hear from the Student Committee, learn about financial aid, discover transfer opportunities, and more.
This event is free and lunch is provided. Each student who attends will be entered into a drawing to win a new laptop. Go Ivy Day is hosted at both the Terre Haute campus and the Greencastle site.

college GO! It is a statewide initiative from September to November dedicated to helping students find the right college for them.

During this time, students are invited to visit Ivy Tech, complete the free Ivy Tech application, and discover approximately 50 programs offered by Ivy Tech.

College application week runs September 26-30, and Ivy Tech Terre Haute Community College is offering a chance to win a free laptop for anyone visiting campus during the week to learn about the application process and degree programs.

Also, every week Ivy Tech hosts @theTech Tuesday where new, current and prospective students can take next steps in their academic and professional lives.

Tuesday @ theTech is a day dedicated to helping attendees with a variety of things, including applying to Ivy Tech, registering for classes, completing the registration steps, discovering courses and programs available, connecting with career coaches, getting information about the financial aid process, And learning about undergraduate affordability programs, and more.

On November 6, financial aid professionals will be available to help individuals navigate and complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Each year, many deserving Indiana University students receive thousands of dollars in grants, loans, and scholarships. The first step to receiving financial aid and making college affordable is to complete the FAFSA.

From 2-4 p.m. on November 6, financial aid professionals will help students and their families complete required financial aid paperwork.

To get started at Ivy Tech, prospective students must complete the free application for admission at ivytech.edu/applynow. Those interested in getting started can now register for classes starting October 24 and January 17 after submission and acceptance.
